I was still working in construction then and had done OK betting on the Steelers that season. The Steelers went toe to toe with the big bad Dallas Cowboys and had Neil O'Donnell not thrown 3 absolutely killer interceptions, it would have been very possible they could have pulled off a victory.

It's worth a mention that after the 1995 season was over O'Donnell wanted a big raise from the Steelers. The numbers he had in the regular season may have supported that. However, and what O'Donnell failed to realize until after he took the money and ran to the Jets was that he played behind a superior line in Pittsburgh and had all the time in the world to sit back there, think about life and ponder such things as the origins of the universe, oh and throw the football.

After a few average seasons with the Jets, were he got pasted on a regular basis he went on to Tennessee and was out of Football by 2003. Had he stayed with the Steelers he may well have had much more success then he had with the Jets and finally the Titans. I don't remember how much less money the Steelers offered him but you’re talking about millions of dollars to begin with here. If I remember correctly, he didn't really get along with Bill Cowher, then again, I don't think Terry Bradshaw had a lovey dovey relationship with Chuck Noll. Had he stayed, and put his differences aside with Bill Cowher its very possible they could have won a championship. Looking back, I wonder if he would have done things differently and stayed on with the Steelers.
